LaunchLab is a two-year program where high school students cultivate future-ready skills through project-based learning. Volunteers play a vital role in connecting classroom experiences to the real world, helping students explore careers of the future while building essential competencies and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Ways to Get Involved
- Guest Speaker / Panelist: Share your career journey, highlight your role, or present on an industry topic
- Portfolio Reviews & Feedback Sessions: Provide constructive feedback on student projects, offering insights from a professional perspective.
- “Day in the Life” Workshops: Lead a hands-on workshop demonstrating a specific aspect of your work, such as tools you use or processes from your field.
- Mock Client Consultations & Interviews: Act as a client or interviewer, guiding students through real-world scenarios.
- Mentorship: Offer ongoing guidance and support to a small group of students interested in pursuing a career in your field.
- Facility Tour: Host virtual or in-person tours to show students how your industry operates.
- Curriculum Advisory: Provide input on program content to ensure it remains relevant and accurately reflects current industry practices and future trends.
- Networking Facilitator: Connect students with other professionals in your network, expanding their understanding of the diverse roles within the industry.
- Material & Resource Contributor: Donate surplus materials, tools, or components for student projects.
- Project Sponsor / Challenge Creator: Propose a real-world design challenge related to your company’s work and provide feedback.
