This exciting college and career pathway program will help you jump-start your career in computer science and/or data analytics.
In Beyond Possible, you will participate in fun and engaging coursework with The Possible Zone (TPZ) and Wentworth Institute of Technology at TPZ’s Innovation Center in Jamaica Plain.
We are recruiting BPS high school students who:
- Are 10th graders in Spring 2026
- Attend English H.S.; Fenway H.S.; Dr. Albert D. Holland High School of Technology; Madison Park
Vocational Tech; or John D. O’Bryant H.S. - Can complete fun and exciting computer science workshops during school vacation weeks.

Key Elements of Beyond Possible:
- Equitable Access to College Coursework: Low barriers to entry program, students only need to have passed Algebra I
- Program On-Ramp Supports: Engaging cohort-based preparatory experiences at The Possible Zone (TPZ)
- Career-Focused: Building technical, in-demand skills through a series of Computer Science and Data Analytics classes
- Career Readiness Supports: Workshops, company site visits, interview prep, to help students get prepared for their future careers.
- Post-Secondary Outcomes: Students earn a workforce credential and/or conditional college acceptances to partner universities and career training partners
- Social-Emotional Supports: Wraparound services via TPZ programming like student counseling, meals, stipends for participation, etc.
Wentworth Institute of Technology Classes
Junior Year Fall Semester: Computer Science I (COMP 1000)
- Junior Year Winter Semester: Intro to Applied AI (AAAI-1000)
- Senior Year Fall Semester: Intro to Networks (COMP 1100)
- Senior Year Winter Semester: Data Analytics for All (DATA 1030)
= 15 College Credits
The Possible Zone (TPZ) Classes
You have the flexibility to complete 3 TPZ afterschool or summer LaunchLab classes over the course of 3 years, starting sophomore year through end of senior year.
We are recruiting BPS high school students who:
- Are 10th graders in Spring 2026
- Attend English H.S.; Fenway H.S.; Dr. Albert D. Holland High School of Technology; Madison Park
Vocational Tech; or John D. O’Bryant H.S. - Can complete fun and exciting computer science workshops during school vacations.
- Earned a C or higher in Algebra I or Integrated Math
- Complete a brief application with a statement of interest (priority deadline Fri, May 15)
- Submit a short recommendation from an educator at their high school
