Natasha Fortes, Ph.D.

School-Base Site Lead (Brockton)

Natasha A. Fortes, Ph.D., is an educator and researcher with over a decade of experience across K–12 and higher education. A Brockton native and graduate of Brockton Public Schools, she is excited to return to her community as The Possible Zone’s School-Based Site Lead in Brockton.

Natasha earned her Ph.D. in Urban Education, Leadership, and Policy Studies from UMass Boston, where she also serves as an adjunct professor teaching and preparing future educators. Her research centers the experiences of Black girls in mathematics education and her work is rooted in equity, student voice, joy, and belonging. Natasha is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, where she actively engages in community service and service initiatives. She is passionate about creating spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and empowered. We are thrilled to have her on our team and so excited that she will continue her incredible work supporting students in the Brockton community!
