Our Team

Oyedotun (Oye) Ajewole is our Garment and Textile Education Technician and TPZ Ventures Founding Associate! Oye is a Nigerian mechanical engineer, designer, creative, and educator based in the Boston Area. He earned his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern. After graduating Oye worked as a product developer with various start-ups and companies ranging from an IVF alternative that reduced invitro cost by 50%, to working on climate-reactive garments that changed based on temperature. Oye has been working to bridge the worlds of engineering and textiles in various ways. In addition, Oye realized during his time as a professional engineer, that there was a disproportionate gap of access to these fields in some communities and demographics, and so he is also passionate about teaching classes and workshops around this to do his part in leveling the playing field. Oye is also no stranger to TPZ; in 2022 he was our inaugural Maker-In-Residence and this past summer he helped co-lead our Fashion Forward deep dive.
