Cass is a multidisciplinary artist, independent scholar, and creative entrepreneur from Boston, MA. Her creative practice is rooted in exploring and understanding Black fiber traditions, textile arts, crafts, and histories. The mediums in which she employs include natural dyeing of fabric and fibers, textile design, millinery, digital fabrication, and fashion design. She has received awards and distinguished fellowships for her artistic practice and creative entrepreneurship. She has also received recognition for her work as a costume designer for regional theater in the Boston area. She is the founder of QUUEENN, a design studio and brand centering storytelling through craft. In her spare time Cass enjoys gardening in a community greenhouse and spending time with family and friends.
