venus Adusei is a Commonwealth Corps member embarking on her service journey at TPZ! She is so excited to be here and learn different skills and education styles. As a recent graduate from Brandeis University, with a Bachelors in African & African American Studies as well as English, she was able to put her focus in the arts and Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies. She has some experience in experimental education through a reading initiative she co-created called Da Book Collective. As a two time Rich Collins Fellow during her college career, she was able to help curate a reading space that is centered around reading accessibility and young literacy. Through this, she was able to help facilitate programming that allowed young people to engage in reading in a more productive and engaging way. She is excited for what’s in store for her here at TPZ.
