Christopher Perry
Curriculum Coordinator
Christopher Perry (he/they) as our Curriculum Coordinator! Chris will be supporting our curriculum development and revision work as we launch our newly revised program.
Chris Perry is a designer and educator with a Bachelor’s in Design from Carnegie Mellon. Having grown up in Lexington, MA, they have taught at a handful of local middle and high schools and bring a broad range of experience to TPZ. At these schools, they developed and ran studios on everything from bioplastics and product design to fashion and activism to gothic literature and horror video games. Each of these studios incorporates aspects of Project-Based Learning, Competency-Based Learning, and Culturally Responsive Teaching.
In their experience, Chris’ most effective instrument in creating engaging curricula has been promoting student agency and responsibility for ideas through the design process. In their role as Curriculum Coordinator, Chris is excited to help bridge the Research and Evaluation Team and Program Teams to support the development of dynamic and responsive assessment methods. In their personal life, Chris enjoys cooking, hosting parties, sewing, and making short zines.
