Where Young People Thrive
Our mission is to advance economic equity by ensuring young people develop the entrepreneurial spirit, skills, and networks to launch successful careers.
Young adults spark their passions and develop entrepreneurial spirit, key skills and mindsets, and networks at The Possible Zone (TPZ)—an exciting, tuition-free, experiential learning program that helps prepare them for life-long learning and readiness for careers of the future.
Hundreds of high school students from Boston Public Schools, and a cohort of young adult associates immerse in early career exploration, thrive as they explore changing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) technologies in our state-of-the-art Innovation Center, and develop valuable social and emotional skills in our supportive programming.
Reinforced by a network of key educational and industry partners in our supportive ecosystem, and guided by our college and career advisors, young people leave TPZ equipped to shape their futures and ready to pursue innovative careers that are evolving in Industry 4.0–this exciting time when intelligent digital technologies are being integrated into manufacturing and industrial processes. We are committed to helping students find their passions; cultivate essential skills, mindsets, and assets; and shape their futures so that they can experience upward economic mobility in their chosen paths, from continued learning to innovative careers.
The TPZ Way
TPZ Funding
Our work is made possible by the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, and public agencies.
Since The Possible Zone’s (TPZ) founding in 2011, all programs have been tuition-free for students. Additionally, young people receive stipends for each class they attend, on-site meals, project supplies, access to state-of-the-art technology and professional-level tools, individualized college and career counseling, wrap-around support, and high quality instruction.
Transformational gifts from seed investors made our first decade of meaningful work. Now in our second decade, TPZ is diversifying our portfolio through a contributed revenue structure and relies on the generous funding from public agencies, private foundations, corporations, and individuals.
