TPZ students are amazing!

Group of students stands outside TPZ Innovation Center

Since our founding in 2011, more than 1,200 students like you have journeyed through The Possible Zone’s (TPZ) entrepreneurship and STEAM programming. And in 2026, up to 1,000 Boston high school students annually will be building valuable and resilient entrepreneurial spirit, skills, and networks that will serve them for life.

Here at TPZ, you’ll find your passions; cultivate essential skills, mindsets, and assets; and shape your future so that you can experience upward economic mobility in your chosen path. Like you, our students are innovators, problem-solvers, team players, learners, and leaders. More than 95% of TPZ students are people of color; more than 54% are female.

Students who participate in TPZ programs report growth on an array of skills that are associated with personal, academic, and career success, including: strong peer and adult relationships, critical thinking, growth mindset, perseverance, optimism, and teamwork.

Why do we do offer our programs? We know that talent and potential are distributed equally among America’s youth, but that opportunity and the dynamic learning experiences that help youth thrive are not. This is why TPZ recruits proactively in Boston high schools based on both the percentage of students in the school who come from economically disadvantaged households and those schools that have lower college matriculation rates than peer schools. More than 86% of TPZ students come from such schools. The majority of TPZ students live in under-resourced communities; further, 68% live in what are considered the most at-risk or distressed neighborhoods in the City of Boston.

At TPZ, I began thinking differently about my future…and I wanted something bigger than what was expected of me.

I think because of every TPZ program I have been in—Discover, Ideate, Incubate, all of those—I definitely think I’ve been able to make the progress I’ve made in my business.
