Coming in late 2024/early 2025
Emerging Ventures will be a central and vibrant hub for startups at various stages of development where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas, receive mentorship, and access funding, expertise, networks and state-of-the-art facilities. Launching in 2025—Emerging Ventures will be committed to sourcing, developing, and investing in startups that have the potential to scale. This tier of TPZ Ventures will initially support the scale of successful products that come out of Launch. Over time, Emerging Ventures will also support the scale of promising startups in our community, as well as developing internal startups born from the ideas of our talented team.
The Work
Developing and Scaling Promising Startups
- Emerging Ventures will support select early-stage growth-driven companies from our community who are post-MVP and have a product that already has some traction with early adopters.
- Startups in the ideation phase, helping them progress from concept to MVP and transform their ideas into viable ventures. Upon completing their journey with us, startups will be well-positioned for potential outside financial investment, propelling them toward success and impact in their respective markets.
TPZ’s Emerging Ventures is intentionally designed to adapt and respond to the evolving landscape of opportunities.
Companies who participate in Emerging Ventures will receive the following:
Access
to TPZ’s state of the art green Innovation Center
Membership
in a vibrant entrepreneurial community with access to a network of committed and engaged investors, mentors, advisors and industry leaders
Entrepreneurial education
and participation in a seminar series with successful founders, entrepreneurs, investors, thought leaders
Opportunities
to validate their products in the market and gain exposure to potential customers and early adopters
Access
to our digital marketing agency and to best in class domain experts
Access
to paid student interns from TPZ’s e-ship program
Advantages
such as deck development, pitch prep, and office hours with peers and advisors
A calendar of entrepreneurship events
including pitch nights and a culminating Demo Day
Seed funding (TBD)
in exchange for a percentage of equity
Roles for Portfolio Companies:
- Products born out of Launch that show significant traction–as determined by revenue generated and number of customers–will automatically transition to Emerging Ventures with the aim of accelerating their growth and scaling.
- Qualified local startups from inside or outside the TPZ community will also be welcomed to join Emerging Ventures through a flexible and rolling admissions process.
Roles for Students:
Opportunities for TPZ’s Eship students to serve as interns with select portfolio companies who elect to be matched with an intern. This will provide Eship students an opportunity to engage with startups on a deeper and longer-term level and to gain direct exposure to the day-to-day operations and firsthand experiences of founding teams.
