Vice President of TPZ Ventures Strategy & Operations
As Vice President, TPZ Ventures (TPZV) Strategy & Operations, April helps TPZV set strategy and build systems to launch and scale new products that generate revenue to sustain TPZ’s nonprofit mission. To this role, April brings lessons and best practices from over 15 years of experience designing and managing venture development and social innovation programs. Prior to joining TPZ, April helped build the UN Foundation’s User Insights Lab, which conducts cutting-edge customer research for the clean cooking industry. April also served as a Director with DesignThinkers Group, a global design firm, and as an Innovation Advisor with the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Global Development Lab, where she designed processes and built organizational capacity for human-centered design and innovation.
April started her career leading social enterprise and corporate engagement programs focused on expanding access to healthcare products and services in emerging markets. April holds a Master’s in Global Health from the Harvard School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan.
