Our Team

Before joining TPZ, Emily worked in public education in the Boston area for 16 years. During that time, she taught World History, served as a high school scheduler and data manager, and led a teacher team that implemented effective interventions to help students transition to high school. In these roles, Emily valued mentoring new educators, building safe and supportive relationships with students, and developing engaging learning activities. She encouraged her students to question existing systems of power, appreciate world cultures, explore their own identities, and apply historical lessons to their lives. Emily is passionate about equity and justice and has consistently worked to build inclusive processes for families from all backgrounds. She loves problem-solving and using her advanced research skills to design efficient systems and support her colleagues.When Emily is not working, she plans adventurous trips with her family and friends, explores the tide pools of Maine, and practices yoga, Zumba, and stays active. She’s also a creative designer, crafting crochet amigurumi, greeting cards, and digital artwork. As an amateur interior designer, Emily’s living and working spaces are known for being cozy, bright, and inspiring with funky patterns and colors.
