Gus Halwani, PH.D.
Chief Steam & Innovation Officer
Prior to joining TPZ, Gus led business development projects in the field of virtual reality for education and consulted with several schools throughout Massachusetts and Florida to evaluate STEAM curriculum and build project-based learning frameworks. While earning his PhD at MIT and studying how musical training changes brain structure and function, Gus was awarded the institute’s IDEA2 Fellowship for proposing a novel translational therapy for aphasia. He has also presented at global events, including Human Brain Mapping and TEDx in addition to founding NeuRace, a sports-science consultancy specializing in providing brain-machine analytics to motorsports teams. When he is not engaged in STEAM, neuroscience, entrepreneurship, sports, and music in his role as Chief STEAM & Innovation Officer, Gus enjoys all of the above in his free time as well as “unplugging” and going on nature trips with his family and friends.
