Jacqueline (Jacque) Cummings-Furtado
Building Operations Manager
As Building Operations Manager, Jacque supports the front desk, overall building maintenance and upkeep, and is an additionally point of contact for vendors and facility support.
In addition to serving as the welcoming presence at the front desk, Jacque manages the front entry and lobby, supports use of that the Community Space, and works with the Operations, Program and Talent teams to ensure that students are safe and supported as they enter, leave, and use TPZ’s Innovation Center. Jacque was born and raised in Boston, MA. She attended Boston Public Schools during her childhood and later attended Northeastern University.
Throughout most of Jacque’s professional life, she has worked in Boston. She has spent a number of years as Director of Loss Prevention for high end retail chains. Jacque has also dedicated over a decade working in residential services for low-income housing, helping thousands of families in the greater Boston area. Additionally, Jacque has worked with victims of trauma and has been an instrumental member of Boston trauma response teams.
Over the years, Jacque has gained an in-depth understanding of the needs of Boston’s inner-city community, especially the needs of our youth. She has spent a significant amount of time serving as a leader in the Bromley-Heath (now Mildred Hailey) community. Along with serving on several boards and committees, Jacque is also an executive board member for Urban Edge. Jacque’s work has been recognized and awarded by various organizations across Massachusetts and beyond.
