Luke Matys
Educator/Advisor II
Luke believes that education is most effective when it is student-led and community-based. He hopes to put this into practice at TPZ. Originally from Worcester, MA, Luke started his career teaching middle school in New Bedford before getting his Masters in Education at Harvard. Before joining TPZ, he managed a state-wide afterschool mock trial program that connected nearly 350 middle school students with volunteer legal professionals across Massachusetts. Luke brings this experience in education and community-building to TPZ. Luke is also a board member of the 16 Strong Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering youth resilience through student-led initiatives, educational workshops, and community outreach. Luke is the “Biggest Celtics Fan You’ll Ever Meet” and also enjoys hiking, playing soccer, cooking, improv, and periodically remembering that he loves reading.
