Yasenia is an Afro-Latina, born and raised in Boston, MA. She brings many years of experience working in education and youth development across the region to the position. As Senior Vice President of Education, Curriculum & Instruction at The Possible Zone (TPZ), she leads the vision, strategy, and execution of curriculum, instructional design, and program innovation. She oversees instructional coaching and curriculum teams to ensure high-quality student learning experiences across TPZ’s Entrepreneurship, Work-Based Learning, Pathways, and Ventures programs.
Committed to preparing students for the Careers of the Future, she develops scalable professional learning frameworks, builds strategic partnerships with school districts and industry leaders, and advances workforce-aligned initiatives.
Yasenia has earned her Doctorate in Education with a specialization in Urban Leadership from Johns Hopkins School of Education, a Masters of Arts in Counseling and Health Psychology from the Williams James College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. In her free time, Yasenia likes to spend time with her family and friends, work out, and relax with her Newfoundland Hercules, chocolate Lab Kaleeci and Shorkie Caspian.
