This exciting college and career pathway program will help you jump-start your career in computer science and/or data analytics! Have you ever imagined a career in robotics, IT, or data? This program is the right fit for you!

In Beyond Possible, you will participate in fun and engaging coursework with The Possible Zone (TPZ) and Wentworth Institute of Technology at TPZ’s Innovation Center in Jamaica Plain. There are many benefits to our program, which you can find here.

The Student Journey: From 10th Grade to High School Graduation

10th Grade
TPZ Hands-on Programming: February or April vacation week
Stipends, Enrollment Support

11th Grade
TPZ Hands-on Programming
Wentworth Coursework: Computer Science I; Fundamentals of IT
Job Shadow, Stipends, Enrollment Support

12th Grade
TPZ Hands-on Programming
Wentworth Coursework: Intro to Networks; Data Analytics for All
Internship, Stipends, Enrollment Support

Student Benefits

During the program, students will receive:
  • College-level academic support offered by Wentworth peer tutor 
  • A monetary stipend for each TPZ after school class or break period attended
  • A meal before each TPZ after school class
  • Career & College advising support services (as needed) + visits to partner colleges
  • Access to summer internships and preparation
  • Wrap-around supports at TPZ
Students who complete the program will receive:
  • A certificate of completion
  • High school credits which count towards graduation requirements
  • College credits toward program completion at Wentworth or transferable elective college credits at other higher ed institutions
  • Conditional acceptances to Wentworth, Framingham State, and MassBay Community College
We are recruiting BPS high school students who:

Are 10th graders in Spring 2025
Attend English H.S.; Dr. Albert D. Holland High School of Technology; Madison Park Vocational Tech; or John D. O’Bryant H.S.
Can complete exploratory programming during February or April vacation week 2025
